The Truth Behind Pledging... (and I'm not talking fraternity)
To theANTILiberalBlog 10th Cent, I have never taken a pledge to vote for Sen. John Kerry for President or any other elected office. I simply pledged to not vote for President Bush on November 2, 2004.
I may very well vote for Loretta Nall of the U.S. Marijuana Party or Sterling David Allan of the Providential Party or Gene Amondson of the Prohibition Party or Michael W. 'Mike' Bay of the National Barking Spider Resurgence Party or Walter F. 'Walt' Brown of the Socialist Party or Ernest Lee Easton of the Veteran's Industrial Party or Jackson Kirk Grimes of the United Fascist Union Party or Andrew J. Kensington of the United States Justice Party Americale or Temperance Alesha Lance-Council of the Anti-Hypocrisy Party or David John Morascini of the Human Being Party or "Muadin" of the E-Democratic Party or George C. Nelson of the United Veterans Rights Party or Diana Ramsey-Rasmussen-Kennedy of the Fair Representation Party or Thomas K. 'Major Tom' Reed of the 21st Century Prohibition Party or Larry J. Schuetter of the Turtle Party or Brian Baker Springfield of the Menorah-Thor Party or Michael Ross Tunick Strauss of Mike's Party or Vermin Love Supreme of the Misinformed Citizens of America Party or Hugh Wallace of the American Independence Party or Michael T. Witort of the Health Party.

I just wanted to commend Slinger for not saying he "might" vote for the Constitution Party candidate.
Thanks Sam, but I did say I would vote for the United Fascist Union Party...I can't tell which is worse...
Why does it matter for you to sign a pledge one way or the other saying that you're not going to be voting for Bush? Isn't just simply saying and presenting reasons why Bush and the Neo-Cons have screwed over this country for the past four years good enough reason for all of us to know that four more years of any neoconservative rule is detrimental to the American Republic?
You're stooping down to the Neo-Con level by pushing stuff like this to the obsurd. We both know that you're not going to vote for Amondson or Brown mainly because you don't agree with their platform (I know personally that you're not a prohibitionist), and the Turtle party doesn't exactly fit your fancy.
If you're not planning on voting for Kerry, I understand. I was leaning towards Dean myself for quite some time, but at the caucus, I realized that Dean right now isn't the best way of getting rid of the Neo-Cons, and that we at least need a centrist to get rid of the extreme-Right hate not only towards our fellow Americans (women, blacks, latinos, etc), but towards the rest of the world through our isolationist policies.
We don't need to sign a petition saying that we don't want Bush in power any more, we need ACTION! Fists in the air demanding that the Neo-Cons start listening to the American people, getting out of big businesses and decreasing our dependence on foreign oil.
To the rest of you reading this post, I encourage you to look at the other candidates as well before you vote in November, but at least be realistic when you vote. Don't choose your number one choice (like Nader or Nall or the rest of these third party candidates) so you get your least favorite choice for President (Bush). Be realistic! Is voting for Nader or Nall really going to prevent the neoconservative bloc from continuing to harm ordinary Americans?
